Viva Las Vegas

A couple weeks ago I had the opportunity to go to Las Vegas for an athletic training conference.  I had never been there before, and it didn't disappoint.  It was my first national conference and it was just that, people from all over the nation in one city.  There were SO many people!

Definite highlight of the trip was that the NATA got a new logo:

In no particular order here are some pictures from my trip.

This is Shaynie, one of the best people I know. This was taken at our Alumni Party at Margarittaville.

Sorry for the poor picture quality, we were on top of the Stratosphere (where I started my birthday).
Mindy and Scott were kind enough to brave the winds and insane heights and ride the best adrenaline pumping rides I have been on in a while.

This is inside the Luxor hotel and casino, it is literally shaped like a pyramid and you can see the rooms  (the red lights) that all go up to a point.

 Inside the Luxor again.

Again at the alumni party, with Rachelle and Rachel.

Outside the Luxor while waiting for the tram.

This is some free swag I got from the vendors show.  This is minimal compared to what some other people walked away with, there were TONS of vendors, giving away A LOT of free stuff, trying to sell their products.

Merrill Hodge, former Pittsburgh Steeler, current ESPN analyst, was our keynote speaker.  He was amazing! "Find a way!"

Hard Rock cafe, with the biggest guitar I have ever seen! and of course Denny's there was at least 4 Denny's on the strip, crazy!

A huge tribute to the Beatles was going on, had to take a picture in remembrance of Des, who loves them!

I had to take a picture with Caesar.

and of course give him a high five!
The fountains at the Billagio were everything that people had told me there were, I went and saw them every night that I was there.

This is the casino and hotel I stayed at, the New York New York.  It was awesome!

jellybean statue of the statue of liberty found inside the New York New York, it looks cool from a distance, but looks and smells kinda gross when you get close.

It was toasty down there, then I came back and realized it was almost as bad here!

 Mindy showing her "U"
Had to experience the pool :)

Shaynie and I throwing up our "U"

We thought it was cool that someone had put up a drum and feather on the exit sign.

View of the strip from on top of the Stratosphere.

At the pool, the lifeguards were folding already folded towels, reminded us of what we do in athletic training sometimes.

It was a great trip, enough that Adam, Melissa, and Shaynie passed out the way home.
